Its soooo funny to watch James get scared of probably much safer versions of kitchen implements that people in non 1st world countries probably use on a daily basis. Case in point the coconut shaver and pressure cookers. We use slightly more primitive versions of both at our house every day almost.

Hi guys. I thought to say it the first time I saw it. But, forgot. Apologies. Regarding the coconut grinder, you were doing it all wrong. You should have tried using it from the other side. The open side of coconut must be facing towards your side. The pressure putting of the coconut must be pulling towards you. You must be on the other aide of the machinez

13:11 "nobody should buy this"? I used to use this similar machine when I was 6years old. Because of this machine I was able to rise from poverty. If you go to Philippines and go to a public market to get fresh coconut milk, this is how we do it.

I had one of the rotisserie/kebab machines a while back, mainly used it for cooking whole chickens. My Jack Russell loved it, would sit and watch it like "Dog Telly" for as long as it took. It made great chicken, kebads, and it had sish kebad attachments too. What killed it in the end was cooking whole chickens. If you had a good free range bird that had a lot of fat on it the fat rendedered out and swamped the dish at the bottom and got into the electrics and gears. So with fatty meats like lamb or chicken, take care not to let the drippings overflow. But the meat or veg always tasted great and it looked brilliant cooking away when friends came 'round. If you look around you can pick one up new for £30-£60. I will say until it got swamped and broke I used it at least once a week, si it was well worth the money.

I see two problems with coconut scrapping in this video. One, the rubber glove is to slippery. If you do it with bare hand, it would be more grippy. Two, the coconut that you guys use are too clean. Usually people that do this for living, the coconut is a bit more hairy, hence more friction when being handled. That being said, it's not too much of a problem if you still went bare hands.

Re: Kebab maker.... if I had a big family, that would be an easy way to make a bunch of food regularly, without investing a bunch of time in the kitchen or having to watch it closely. Hell.. you could get your kid to make dinner using it. You could probably feed 12 people in about 20 minutes of time actually spent in the kitchen.

I think the coconut scraper would have worked better if they had a proper set of cut-resistant, grippy gloves. However, it really needs a better safety switch (something sharp spinning freely without contact seems unsafe).

My favorite gadget episode. Three!! Close to my heart gadgets! You reawakened my love for (my name) vertical souvlaki. Couldn’t afford the vertical grill but got myself a spike for the oven. Not as good as a big city street food vertical souvlaki but YUM! ~~~~As for the egg poacher - looked like a coffee filter. - I poach in water - not particularly consistently well, but I don’t need eggs Benedict every week. For midweek ‘I gotta have a runny yolk’ mornings I nuke in a coffee mug. ~~~ The silicone handle thingies. I have four in my tea towel drawer draped over the section dividers: 2 just barely big enough for my fingers and 2 deep enough for my husband. Which I like better too. Thanks for giving me some giggles! Not just this one but just about every episode I’ve seen 🤣
