    It'd be a good challenge sometime for one of your recipes in this series to try to fit multiple dietary restrictions. I've been in a community with someone being both dairy free and gluten free and sometimes gluten free needs to be corn free, too!

    I'd love to see you guys do 3 different homemade granola bar recipes 🙂 Cuz I have so many food sensitivities, I've started looking into making my own and there are some AMAZING recipes out there 😁 I made some for a friend (whose food sensitivities differ from mine) that involved dried apricots, apricot jam and dark chocolate and it was 100% worth the ensuing stomach pain to have gotten to try them! 🤣 You could make one of the recipes vegan, too. So many involve honey, which a surprising number of people can't eat due to gut sensitivities like IBS, Gastroparesis, FPIES or any number of autoimmune disorders. Hell, you could even make the vegan one low-FODMAP 😁 I'd love to see an actual low-FODMAP challenge, in general 🙂 It's a set of dietary restrictions that would really force you guys to push the limits of your creativity and I reckon you'd all do a fantastic job of coming up with awesome dishes from only low-FODMAP foods 😁👍

    Easier way to destone cherries: glass coke bottle + heavy straw or chopstick. Pops the pit right out into the bottle without staining your fingers pink!

    You guys are great so I'm going to just tell you that cherry pitters cost a whole dollar. Please invest in one for the show. Also, I don't think that cherries are a thanksgiving food, even though I had some canned tart cherries that I accidentally put too much cornstarch into on top of my thanksgiving cheesecake.

    I don't usually love cherry but I think I might attempt it in the next few weeks. I'd love to see yall do a video on making Bear claws (almond and vanilla pastry thing) because I would liek to try to make it but I feel like I need to see yall do it first lol

    The first one really is like the Dutch "appelflappen" (apple flaps) that we always eat on new years eve, but with cherries & almonds instead of apples & cinnamon. I might try the cherry version this year, it sounds yum

    I like how you incorporated 3 different methods of destoning the cherries... I can only imagine how the planning meeting went for that. Baz: I want the stoning tool cause I'm doing the quick easy method. Jamie: Well that's too bad cause I'm using it Baz: you can't just decide that Jamie: *pulls destoner out of back pocket* I Just did Baz: Jamie! That's not fair! Ben: I don't know what you two are complaining about, I have to use my bare hands. My fingers will be stained red by the time I'm done bursting all those cherries.     Loved this! Some suggestions.for future episodes: soups (someone already mentioned this), pierogies (or other dumplings), turkey, french fries (aka chips?), and I would love to see sous vide revisited. Keep up the great work yinz guys!

    I like that you all used three different ways to pit your cherries. You had a stoner (what my dad called them, lol), a knife, and Mr. Chef with his fingers. I think the chocolate would be my favorite personally. I also like that you're using Bings instead of Queen Annes. I think QA would be a little too sour for these recipes. Love it.     Love your channel and your crazy antics and the delicious recipes - most of which I don't dare to cook. Because they are so unhealthy. I have a feeling Sortedfood is coming to a crossroads where you will have to switch to healthier recipes or head straight to high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, etc. Sorry to be a downer, but it's inevitable the way you guys eat! I'm sure if anyone can make the switch to healthier eating and still keep the fun, you guys can do it. Thanks for entertaining us with your wacky friendship!

    Hey guys, love the videos - I'm your newest sorted addict. Just seen the insect video and it was interesting to see you didn't cover insect patties. I thought that it could be cool if you could compare a beef pattie against a non-meat (e.g. impossible burger) pattie against an alternative protein (e.g. insect) pattie.

    Cherries are a late spring/early summer fruit...its the end of november.... How in the heck can you say they are in season? unless you filmed this way earlier in the year?

    My brain is working on how to refine Jamie's further into low carb as well as gluten free. Sounds lush. Replace sugar with sweetener, corn flour with Xanthan gum, and I suspect sorted. 😃

    I make a cherry pie with a chocolate pie crust, a fudge chocolate ganache layer similar to Jamie's, then a cherry filling with both sweet and sour cherries, almond liqueur, plus a hit of cayenne chilies for spice. Amazing!

    I find myself wondering if an of the recipes have a marzipan-y taste to them, with the almond used in all of it... I can't stand marzipan, though I do love other almond sweets. If the middle one does not, I would LOVe to make it, it sounds amazing.

    Things get lost in translation over the pond. Especially in the South and West of the United States corn flour is finely milled corn sometimes used to make corn bread. If I understand correctly, in the UK, corn flour refers to what someone from the US calls corn starch. Corn starch is the starch derived from the white endosperm of the corn kernal used as a thickening agent.

    Cherries in season? It's the end of November! When was this recorded? PS. You're using sweet cherries, they're quite different than sour cherries (and much less aromatic). Sour cherries don't need almonds.

    The pastry dough from their Sweet Cherry Pie from 2014 is by far my FAVORITE pie crust ever. I suppose I'll have to give this one a try, it's similar just has ground almond as well.

    I think Barry's is a weekday dessert cherry pie; it's fast and easy. Ben's is the Thanksgiving/4th of July cherry pie; its tradition and sentimental. Jamie's is the Christmas/ New Year's Eve cherry pie, it's sophisticated and a bit of a showstopper.
