    I'm on my Sortedfood videos marathon right now and finally reach this delightful and hysterical video! This really cracks me up. I was literally laughing out loud watching Mike's disastrous take on the choux pastry. I think this is the most normal i've seen of Mike! XD thanks Mike for this, still can't stop laughing.     Thank-you Barry for giving me the confidence to make my own choux pastry. I'm not supposed to eat yeast, and I thought that if I used choux pastry and savoury fillings instead of sweet fillings I could have 'sandwiches ' again.

    This is for Mike and James.... I think it would be fairly epic is it was a competition between the 2 of them, where Mike follows the recipe and James takes it to the 'Chef's Level '. The judges would be Benn and Barry with Jamie kibitzing from the peanut gallery. Easy Summery Fruit Chiffon Pie Ingredients : 1 pkg cream cheese, softened (225g=8oz) 1 pkg flavoured jello (4 serving size) 2 8oz/250ml whipped topping,(thawed & divided) 1 9inch/23cm Graham Cracker piecrust Method: 1 - Pie Crust: Check store bought crust for crumbling... If crumbling looks to be serious, heat oven to 325°F /160°C Place piecrust in oven for 5 minutes Remove from oven and cool thoroughly 2 - Filling: In a large bowl, beat Cream Cheese, Jello Powder, and Two Thirds of Whipped Topping at a medium speed until smooth. 3 - Assembly: Spoon or pour whipped filling into pie crust, spreading evenly Top with remaining Whipped Topping Garnish with desired fruit slices or toasted coconut 4 - Serve immediately, or refrigerate as desired. *Note: I have changed this recipe, in that all branded product references have been removed. The Piecrust Check is my own and is based on personal experience from working with store bought Keebler brand graham crum piecrusts.

    See, I've made eclairs maybe like 3-4 times and I'm by no means a good cook or anything. And I have to say, that the easiest about the whole process was the creme pat. The eclairs are super finnicky and really need the oven to work right, but creme pat is really just a little boring to make, since I probably whisk it too much. Also the pastry cream was the first time I was almost ecstatic with glee, since it literally tasted as good, if not better, than the stuff you can buy at the store and I was blown away by that success. If making eclairs, creme pat and ganache + all the cooling and filling wouldn't take an entire day, I'd love to make them more often.

    I know how mike feels with the going on autopilot with a recipie! I've made Yorkshire puddings thousands of times, but tell me to make it without a recipe and it will definitely not turn out right! Good job though, I don't know the first thing about making a shoux pastry 🤣😂

    Aww Mike! This was such an amazing episode and I’m excited for the series! Mike’s little realisation at the end was so beautiful. Nice to know he is a human being like the rest of us. I really felt for him in this one though, knowing he is such a perfectionist. Good one Barry!!
